Council to Implement More Effective Programs
Rajshahi,
February 18:
British
Council (BC) will implement much more effective programs
to enhance the skills and capacity of the students and
young people of Bangladesh. Director General of British
Council Sir David Green said it on Thursday.
Sir
David said it while meeting in a views exchange with a
6-member delegation of mass communication oriented
development organization CCD Bangladesh and its students
wing BASA and cultural wing Youth Voice at the premises
of British Council in Dhaka on Thursday. Director of CCD
Bangladesh G M Mourtoza led the CCD delegation. Among
others, Organizer of Youth Voice and Close-up One Star
Moshiur Rahman Rinku, BASA Organizer A S M Anisur Rahman,
Monirul Murshed Manik and Ainuth Binth Jubair Sony were
present in the meeting. Sir David Green appreciated
different initiatives of CCD Bangladesh taken for the development of skills, leadership and creative talent of
the students and young people of Rajshahi region.
The
CCD Bangladesh delegation also met the British High
Commissioner Mr Anwar Chowdhury at the same venue. Being informed of the activities of CCD
Bangladesh with the close partnership of British
Council, he also expressed his eagerness to visit the
development activities in Rajshahi. In moreover, the
delegation also met in a views exchange with Director of
the British Council Dr June Rollinson on the occasion.
Notably,
a grand auspicious reception was awarded to the Director
General of British Council Sir David Green in the
evening on Thursday. Among others, British High
Commissioner Mr Anwar Chowdhury, renowned scholars,
educationists, intellectuals and other higher officials
of the British High Commission and British Council of
Dhaka were present in the reception held at the British
Council auditorium. Organizer of Youth Voice and
Close-up One Star Moshiur Rahman Rinku rendered
enchanting Baul songs in the function.
