Conference on Debate Festival Held
Rajshahi,

On
the occasion of 8-day Debate Festival to be held in
Rajshahi, a press conference was held in the Central
Cafeteria of Rajshahi University (RU) on Wednesday.

Ahmmad Ujjol read out the written paper on the festival.

Mahfuzur Rahman Mishu and BASA Organizer Mahmudur Rahman
Sohel answered the questions of the present journalists.
In
the press conference, it was disclosed that, mass
communication oriented development organization CCD
Bangladesh and its co-organization Bangladesh Advanced
Students Alliance (BASA) and Youth Voice are organizing
the festival for the first time in Rajshahi. The
festival to be arranged with the support of British
Council and Connecting Futures will include
parliamentary debate workshop, model debate,
parliamentary debate competition, Barowary debate
competition, inter-personal debate competition, debate
Adda, plainchant, United Nations, fun-debate and
enchanting cultural functions.
It
was also said, the debate festival would start through
an auspicious inaugural session to be held in the
Anthropology Gallery in 4th Arts Building of RU at 08.30
am on Thursday. RU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Altaf
Hossain will inaugurate the festival as chief guest,
they added. Moreover, a colorful rally will parade the
main thoroughfares of the campus after the inaugural
session.
Reputed
TV personality Dr Abdun Noor Tushar and President of
Bangladesh Debate Federation Bulbul Hasan will conduct
the day long parliamentary debate workshop on the first
day in the same venue. In addition, a model
parliamentary debate and folk cultural function will be
held in the afternoon on the occasion.
